WINTER 2012 CLASS SCHEDULE

Class I
INTRODUCTION TO AROMATHERAPY:

Part One:

The first class will generate a comprehensive understanding of essential oils
by providing an overview and definition of aromatherapy as well as the
history and evolution of aromatics. Basic extraction and application methods
will be discussed, we will discover the most commonly used essential oils,
and delve into the olfactory system and the psychology of scent.
Thursday, January 19, 2012, 6-9pm

Part Two:

The second class is a blending course. 
Topics covered help you to understand the basics of blending
including how to blend with form and function (meaning the preparation smells
as good as it is effective!!) as well as important ways to know
how and when to blend essential oils.

Cost: $220.00 + gst(for both Part 1 and 2)
Cost includes text, material, all supplies & lunch on Saturday.
Intro class is mandatory for taking any other classes.

Class II
CHAKRAS and SUBTLE AROMATHERAPY

This class will cover the different energy centers of the body known as The Chakras,
including vibrational healing, methods of use, Chakra energy, the essential oils,
and notes on the subtle properties of the individual oils.
You will also develop your own Chakra blend.

Cost: $110.00 + gst (includes all supplies)

Class III
The HUMAN BODY CLOCK

Discover how the body works depending on what time it is and its link to essential oils for physical, emotional and spiritual well being.

We look at the body clock to generate effective sleep patterns, digestive function, and even kidney, liver, and heart regulation.  Emotionally, we can reduce stress,  eliminate negative thought processes and increase our awareness of all around us.

Cost: $95.00 + gst (includes all supplies)

Class IV
FAMILY FOCUSED HEATHCARE

Alternative therapies for a healthy & happy family.
An overview will be presented of the benefits of Aromatherapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Reflexology & Massage for better overall family health. Information will be offered for parents, pregnancy, newborns & children of all ages. 

A strong focus will be placed on understanding correct dosages and the safe use of specific essential oils,
with time allotted at the end of class for creating a take-home blend.

“One of the best ways to learn Aromatherapy is to develop a nose for it.
It is a subject, like herbs, for which there is always more to learn.
Most importantly, it is not necessary to know everything before getting started.
Introduce yourself to Aromatherapy slowly.
Taking time to smell is the best way to learn about and create a personal bond with
each essential oil. Reactions to most odors are highly individual and you may find it
hard to put descriptions and feelings about oils into words.
Although there are more than 300 pure essential oils to experience,
become familiar with 10 - 15 of the most common.
Begin by purchasing small quantities, and as your personal nose
and awareness level becomes more discerning, add new oils to your collection.
Learn about the properties of each new essential oil as you acquire them.”
